Testimonials

I started out in camp when I was just seven (7) years old. First I was a camper, then moved to counselor, tutor and  now coordinator. That experience has been so amazing! Discovery Camp is not just about Theatre Arts .. it has been about building bonds , about life lessons , learning and so much more. Here the children fall in love with art and the freedom to express themselves. That is what makes Arts-in-Action Discovery Camp second to none!

Taaliba Quashie ( Camp Coordinator 2018 )

Arts-in-Action has been the catalyst for some of my inherent artistic abilities. It has provided a space to explore my creative passions. Every year the Discovery camp was a reflection of my artistic endeavors/desires. It has provided a place for counsel. The Arts-in-Action team comprises a cadre of creative intellects that I will always seek out. It has furnished me with unmatched experiences. Working as part of the team, I gained values that I take with me to every teaching/learning scenario.

Michailean Taylor (Past Resource Artist / Discovery Camp Tutor/ Production Director)

A big thing for my granddaughter is to see who comes to camp the following year. Discovery camp made her feel like she was part of some huge, ever-growing family. She is the third generation to go to camp from my family and let me tell you… she absolutely loves it. Lunch, rt time, snow cone man, the discovery camp song … all of these are to me, rich experiences, but to my 9 year old granddaughter… they are the things that make Arts-in-Action’s Discovery Camp great!
