Senior Artist-Facilitator, Project Assistant
A member of Arts-in-Action since 2008 Tishanna’s work and approach to Art Education is highly influenced by the many creative roads she’s been travelling. After leaving her studies in Biochemistry (determined at the time to make a successful career solely out of the things that made her happy) she was uncertain about what would be the eventual outcome. To date, she is a CTO Media Awards nominated writer whose collaborations include projects for BBC, Roads and Kingdoms, LargeUp and the late Anthony Bourdain’s travel series-Parts Unknown (CNN). Her ability to bring a level of empathy to characters continues to land her lead roles on both stage and screen. She is currently the Artistic Director and in-house playwright for the Patrons of the Arts Foundation’s children theatre arm.
When she is not doing any of the above, Tishanna keeps herself busy travelling as a singer with the band Freetown Collective and lecturing Drama at the University of the West Indies.
